In 1974 - exactly 50 years ago - ABBA made their breakthrough at the Grand Prix d'Eurovision. ‘Waterloo’ marked the beginning of an unprecedented global career. The Swedish pop group became one of the most successful bands in music history. Although the band, which consisted of the two lovers Agneta and Björn as well as Benny and Anni-Frid, split up in 1982, their songs are still hugely popular today.
In a multimedia concert production full of surprises, the SECONDHAND ORCHESTRA with Roman Riklin, Daniel Schaub, Frölein Da Capo and Adrian Stern follows the eternally recurring course of love with dialect versions of ABBA songs. ABBA hits such as ‘Dancing Queen’ or song gems like ‘The Winner Takes it all’ are uninhibitedly interwoven with their own new dialect songs, which are associatively linked to the original material. Radio legend FM François Mürner once again slips into the role of the tongue-in-cheek chronicler with audiovisual contributions.
